Dua Lipa shocks fans during Tame Impala concert in London with surprise live performance.

What started as another stop on Tame Impala’s European tour quickly turned into one of the most talked-about music moments of the year. On Thursday, May 7, during their concert at the iconic The O2 Arena, Kevin Parker stunned the crowd by bringing Dua Lipa on stage for a surprise appearance.

The moment happened during the final part of the show, just as the concert was reaching its peak. Surrounded by psychedelic visuals, immersive lights, and massive cheers from the audience, Dua joined Tame Impala to perform “Afterthought,” the fan-favorite track featured on the 2020 album The Slow Rush. It marked one of the rare occasions the two artists have performed the song live together.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Moments later, the pair ignited the arena with “Houdini,” the hit track produced by Kevin Parker for Dua Lipa’s latest album Radical Optimism. The energy inside The O2 exploded as thousands of fans sang along, while videos of the performance instantly flooded TikTok, Instagram, and X.

The concert is part of Tame Impala’s new “Deadbeat Tour,” currently traveling across Europe and the UK in support of their 2025 album Deadbeat. Following London, the tour continues with scheduled stops in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Dublin.

Fans quickly took over social media, calling the performance “iconic,” “surreal,” and “the perfect crossover between pop and psychedelia.” Others are already hoping this onstage reunion could lead to even more collaborations between the two artists in the near future.

And judging by the chemistry they shared on stage… that possibility suddenly feels very real.
