Golden places K-Pop Demon Hunters in the spotlight at the 2026 Grammys

“Golden,” performed by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami as the fictional K-pop group Huntr/x, has officially become a global hit. The track earned four nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, positioning K-Pop Demon Hunters as one of the most talked-about projects of the season.

The song is nominated for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Engineered Recording. Ejae also becomes the first Korean American songwriter nominated for Song of the Year, sharing credit with Mark Sonnenblick, DO, 24, and Teddy. Additionally, David Guetta’s remix received a nomination for Best Remixed Recording.

“Golden” will compete against major releases including Billie Eilish’s “Wildflower,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild,” Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” and Rosé & Bruno Mars’ “APT.”, among others.

The performers emphasized how meaningful it is to see Korean artists recognized at the Grammys, noting that it may inspire younger musicians to pursue their dreams.

A global cinematic success

K-Pop Demon Hunters has become Netflix’s most-watched film ever, surpassing 325 million views since its debut. The sing-along theatrical release also topped the U.S. box office, earning around $18 million during its opening weekend.

The film follows HUNTR/X, a world-famous girl group who secretly double as demon hunters. Their fame-powered magic barrier begins to weaken when a new rival boyband is used as a weapon to drain the energy of their fans, forcing the trio to battle supernatural forces while protecting their global image.

Ejae shared that being nominated has exceeded everything she once hoped for, calling it a lifelong dream. Rei Ami posted an emotional video celebrating the news, thanking fans for their support.
