After four editions held at Park Cerrillos, Lollapalooza Chile has officially confirmed its return to Park O’Higgins starting in 2026.
The iconic festival will take place once again in the heart of Santiago for its 2026, 2027, and 2028 editions, renewing its connection with the capital city.
A Comeback with a Vision
The decision follows several meetings between event producer Lotus and Santiago’s municipal team. Lotus spokesperson Sebastián de la Barra stated, “After four years in Cerrillos, we are deeply thankful for the support of the local authorities and community. Today, after joint discussions with the city of Santiago, we’ve agreed to bring the festival back to Park O’Higgins—reaffirming our commitment to the city, its residents, and full compliance with established regulations.”
Santiago’s mayor, Mario Desbordes, welcomed the festival’s return as a step toward revitalizing the city center:
“Santiago must reclaim its role as a meeting place. Park O’Higgins is one of the city’s iconic spaces, and events like this not only put our capital back on the cultural map—they also bring direct benefits. We will work hand in hand with local residents to ensure these events result in tangible urban improvements in and around the park,” said the mayor.
Desbordes also noted that hosting major festivals is crucial for tackling the municipality’s current budget deficit and for helping restore safety and economic vitality in the city.
Official Approval and Urban Commitments
On July 21, the official request to host Lollapalooza at Park O’Higgins was submitted. The Santiago Municipal Committee for Temporary Activities later approved the event for three consecutive years, pending compliance with all technical, legal, and financial requirements.
Lotus also extended their gratitude to Serviu, Parquemet, and the Municipality of Cerrillos for their vital support throughout the challenging post-pandemic period.
Ticket Sales: Dates and Details
Tickets for Lollapalooza Chile 2026 will go on sale Monday, August 12 at noon via Ticketmaster, starting with the Early Bird phase and 3-Day Passes in Presale 1.
