Tame Impala Releases New Album Deadbeat: Listen Now

Kevin Parker, the creative force behind Tame Impala, returns after five years with Deadbeat, the project’s fifth studio album — released at midnight on October 17.

The new record, released through Columbia Records under the Sony Music network, draws inspiration from the “bush doof” rave culture of Parker’s native Western Australia, capturing the vibrant spirit of that scene in its first single, “End of Summer.”

Tame Impala will support the album with The Deadbeat Tour, which begins October 27 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, before heading to Europe and the U.K. in 2026. The European leg kicks off April 4 in Porto, Portugal, and wraps up May 13 in Dublin, Ireland.

Deadbeat arrives five years after The Slow Rush (2020), which topped Australia’s ARIA Chart and became one of Tame Impala’s most successful albums internationally. Its predecessor, Currents (2015), earned global acclaim and solidified Parker’s place as one of modern music’s most innovative producers.

Earlier this year, Parker won his first Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Neverender”, his collaboration with the French duo Justice.

Deadbeat also includes previously released tracks “Loser” and “Dracula”, which marked Tame Impala’s first-ever entry on major U.S. singles charts. You can now stream Deadbeat in full on all digital platforms.
